Mercedes Wilson, DVM, CVA, CCRT, CVFT
Dr. Wilson graduated magna cum laude from Iona University in New Rochelle, NY, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then moved to Ithaca, NY to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM). After veterinary school, she completed an intense, year long internship in small animal medicine and surgery at BluePearl Hospital Downtown in Manhattan. To further her education, she attended Chi University and became certified in veterinary acupuncture, traditional Chinese food therapy, and end-of-life care. Dr. Wilson practices integrative medicine, using her extensive Western medical background and traditional Chinese veterinary medical training for a holistic approach to wellness. Dr. Wilson has worked in many different settings, including small animal private practices, emergency and specialty hospitals, shelters, and community veterinary wellness centers. A lifelong New York state resident, she currently resides in Newburgh with her husband and three ginger cats.
